Dubbo Health Hub is seeking GP Registrars to join our team. 

We are a dedicated teaching practice with a commitment to training the next generation of Doctors. As such we are committed to supporting your development as a Doctor in a safe and nurturing environment. 

As a GP registrar you will be supported in the transition from hospital based to community based practice. You will be given the opportunity to develop your clinical and personal skills at a titrated and balanced pace, with ready access to supervisors.  

Dubbo Health Hub has experienced GP’s who will support and enrich your learning. Alongside supporting your knowledge in standard medical care and procedures, our GP’s have extra training and special interests in Mental Health, Paediatrics, Antenatal care, Women’s health, chronic disease management. We also have a dietitian and psychologist whom add depth of understanding to areas such as Mental Health, Eating Disorders and nutritional management of chronic health conditions.

Our Supervisors

Dr Heather Maleham
Heather one of our Principal GP’s, was amongst the 1st cohort of medical students to graduate from the USyd school of Rural health (Dubbo) in 2005. Having gained her fellowship in 2010, Heather has been an RACGP supervisor since 2012 and passionately encourages and supports registrars through their placements. As a SRH graduate and GP in Dubbo since 2008, Heather is extremely experienced in the wide range of issues facing General Practice in rural and regional Australia, and is a compassionate and empathic Doctor and supervisor.

Dr Pethidia Mango
Pethidia is our dedicated director of Teaching and Education. She is a committed and experienced, accredited supervisor with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Over the years, she has supervised registrars at the Dubbo Aboriginal Medical Service and the RFDS Broken Hill Base. Her dedication to clinical teaching is evident in her regular external clinical teaching visits for GP registrars, and her contributions to the education of medical students at the University of Sydney School of Rural Health. This unique perspective makes her an invaluable mentor for GP Registrars.
